Possible Oil Blends
What you want to do is find the best, personal blend for YOU.

Apparently, Castor oil is the most potent of the oils, and can also be the most drying. I also found certain olive oils can be very drying. So if your skin feels too dry, try lessening the amount of these oils.

Possible blends to start out with might be

Oily Skin: Try a blend of 30% Castor Oil, 70% Sunflower Seed Oil.
Balanced Skin: Try a blend of 20% Castor Oil, 80% Sunflower Seed Oil.
Dry Skin: Try a blend of 10% Castor Oil, 90% Sunflower Seed Oil.

Or another example for Balanced Skin might be: 20% Castor Oil, 40% EVOO, 40% Jojoba Oil.

You get the idea. Experiment. Find what works best for you.

I'm going to be honest though. I can be a little lazy. When I firsted started this I used only extra virgin olive oil. First my skin was oily (initial phase) and then it started feeling dried out.

Being the lazy person that I am, since I already had a massage oil in my house with a mix of sweet almond, safflower, and a couple of other oils (no other random ingredients or chemicals, just oils and maybe lavender)--- I used that mixed with castor oil. (About 80% castor oil and 20% of the mixed massage oil). It worked beautifully. If you don't want to muss and fuss then maybe just start out with one oil and see how it works for you.

Then once I got to the maintenance level I started using Castille soap. Some Castille soaps are 100% olive oil. I am currently using Dr. Bronner's. But on my face I just the TINIEST drop and then suds it up in my hands and then wash my face with it. Otherwise this too, can be too drying.

If my face does get too dry I moisturize with a Tiny bit of coconut oil or jojoba oil. You just need to find what works for you. There are also plenty of moisturizers made mostly from just oils.

I know some people swear by using coconut oil as a cleanser. After a nice hot shower, when the face is damp just use two drops of coconut oil in your hands before gently patting your face with it. Used sparingly and diluted, this can be an awesome maintanence for skin once it clears up. I don't know that coconut oil will work in the beginning to pull all the old toxins like some of the hardcore oils like castor oil and EVOO.
